Indian Railways Introduces SwaRail Superapp for Ticket Reservations And Integrated Services

The Ministry of Railways unveiled a new superapp named SwaRail in India on Friday. This application serves as a comprehensive platform for various public-facing services, including reserved ticket bookings, food ordering on trains, and PNR inquiries. Presently in beta, SwaRail is accessible on both Android and iOS devices. The superapp is designed to minimize app clutter and conserve storage space by consolidating multiple railway service management applications into a single interface.

SwaRail Superapp Features:

The SwaRail superapp, created by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), serves as a comprehensive platform that brings together all the public-facing apps of Indian Railways. With this superapp, users in India can easily book reserved and unreserved tickets, check on parcel and freight deliveries, track trains and PNR status, order food while traveling, and reach out to ‘Rail Madad’ for any complaints or questions, as outlined by the Ministry of Railways.

Indian Railways currently offers several apps for booking tickets and checking train times. However, the SwaRail superapp aims to be the ultimate solution, allowing you to handle everything right from your phone, which is super convenient. On top of that, it’ll provide even more information thanks to its integrated features.

The Ministry of Railways points out that when you check your PNR status, you’ll also see related train info. They’ve introduced a single sign-on feature, so you can use one set of login details to access all their services. This same login works for other Indian Railways apps like IRCTC RailConnect and UTS Mobile App. Plus, if you already have credentials for RailConnect or UTS, you can use those to get started with the new app. It also offers various login methods, including m-PIN and biometric options.
